ABOUT XIMENA
“I find joy in bringing the beauty of nature and wildlife into every home”
Ximena believes that art changes the human experience. Her love for art, nature and wildlife was ignited as a child. Born in Quito, Ecuador, Ximena recollects memories of riding horses in her grandfather’s ranch, watching hundreds of butterflies fly in large open fields, catching fireflies in the evening and hiking in dense forests filled with Eucalyptus trees.
Photography has been the medium that allowed poetry and storytelling to come alive. The belief that every being is sacred has taken her on an adventure to capture the interconnection of beings to each other, ourseleves and our environment. Capturing wildlife, specially wildhorses, through thoughtful and beautiful compositions allows the viewer to gain a deeper connection to our world.
Ximena believes that when difficulties arise in the human experience, animals teach, and guide humans to allow the heart and the soul to open and flourish. Follow and connect with her journey as she shares images that are taken from crevices of time that cannot be duplicated. Ximena earned a Master's degree in education. She is a self-taught painter and photographer.

"Me alegra llevar la belleza de la naturaleza y la vida salvaje a cada hogar"
Ximena cree que el arte cambia la experiencia humana. Su amor por el arte, la naturaleza y la vida silvestre se encendió desde niña. Nacida en Quito, Ecuador, Ximena recuerda montar a caballo en el rancho de su abuelo, observar cientos de mariposas volar en grandes campos abiertos, cazar luciérnagas por la noche y caminar por densos bosques llenos de eucaliptos.
La fotografía ha sido el medio que permitió que la poesía y la narración cobraran vida. La creencia de que todo ser es sagrado la ha llevado a una aventura para capturar la interconexión de los seres entre sí, con nosotros mismos y con nuestro entorno. Captar la vida silvestre, especialmente los caballos salvajes, a través de bellas y reflexivas composiciones permite al espectador obtener una conexión más profunda con nuestro mundo.
Ximena cree que cuando surgen dificultades en la experiencia humana, los animales enseñan y guían a los humanos para permitir que el corazón y el alma se abran y florezcan. Síguela y conéctate con su viaje mientras comparte imágenes tomadas de grietas del tiempo que no se pueden duplicar. Ximena obtuvo una maestría en educación. Es pintora y fotógrafa autodidacta.
